Pupil Premium 3 Year Strategy 2022-2025 Updated September 2024 DRAFT
Here at Cotton End, we are committed to providing high quality, enjoyable and challenging PE lessons. Specialist staff from Sporty Scholars teach children in Key Stages 1 and 2; curriculum content is planned in conjunction with staff.
A different unit is taught each term to provide our children with a diverse range of sports, and encourage them to try new skills and gain confidence with new activities. A strong emphasis is placed upon team work and co-operation, thus fitting in with our strong emphasis on values education. Some of these units include: tag rugby, multi-skills, dance, gymnastics, tennis, archery and athletics.
As a school, each year we enter all of the school games competitions, run by the Bedford and Kempston School Sports Partnership. These hold a competitive element.
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities; ranging from dance club, gymnastics club, football club and athletics club.
We look forward to future sporting challenges and will continue to engage and challenge all of our children.
Our vision is that all pupils at Cotton End Forest School experience excellent physical education (PE), school sport and physical activity that will lead to lifelong participation.
