KS2 Multipsorts Results

Friday, June 6, 2014

On Friday 23rd May, Badgers attended a Multisports event at Harrowden Middle School. They represented the school in cricket, tri-golf and tennis, and we are delighted that the tri-golf team came second! This is a fantastic achievement.
Well done to the cricket and tennis teams, who came fifth and fourth respectively.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and they were excellent representatives of Cotton End Primary School.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

The Reception and Year 1 children had a fantastic time sledging at the SnoZone in Milton Keynes. We had to clamber up the thick snow but all loved whizzing down the slope!

Talk by Debby – Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition

Friday, March 7, 2014

We were privileged to have had a visit by Debby, whose relative was one of the members of the Ross Sea Party. She spoke to us all about Shackleton’s plan to cross Antarctica, the two different parties of men and the jobs they had.

Debby also brought in some papers and artefacts which have been in her family since Shackleton’s expedition.

It was a fascinating talk and really brought our learning to life!

Visit from Ian Rose – Paralympian

Monday, February 10, 2014

Cotton End Primary were honoured to host a visit from Ian Rose – a Judo World Champion and Paralympian.

Ian spoke to the children in an entertaining way about being true to yourself, being the best you can be and making sure you treat yourself and others well. He was very inspiring and made us all reflect on the types of people we want to be.

The highlight had to be, though, when Ian passed around his two Paralympic medals – a Bronze from Atlanta and a Silver from Athens. It just goes to show what can be achieved with dedication and hard work!

More information about Ian can be found on his website: www.ianrose.co.uk
